Mark Stockdale, A&L Goodbody

Mark Stockdale is a partner in A&L Goodbody’s Belfast where he heads up the Renewable Energy team. Mark has extensive experience advising sponsors, lenders and investors on the acquisition, project financing and construction of large-scale renewable energy projects in Ireland and Northern Ireland. Mark is also one of the leading experts on energy regulation in Northern Ireland.

Ciaran McAlinney, A&L Goodbody

Ciaran McAlinney heads A&L Goodbody’s Finance department in Belfast. Ciaran specialises in syndicated lending, acquisition finance, general corporate lending and structured/limited recourse financing transactions, including project finance. Ciaran has worked on key transactions in Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and across Europe. Prior to joining A&L Goodbody, Ciaran spent a number of years in London with Clifford Chance and was seconded to the Global Banking and Markets division of Royal Bank of Scotland

Eddie McAvinchey, National Wealth Fund

Eddie is the Scotland representative of the National Wealth Fund and is based in Edinburgh.  His role covers NWF’s activities across both the public and private sectors.  The NWF was launched in October 2024 to provide £27.8bn of capital to support the delivery of the Government’s pending industrial Strategy.  Prior to joining NWF, Eddie was an Executive Director at the Scottish National Investment Bank, and Head of Corporate Finance at Edinburgh-based merchant bank Noble & Co.  Earlier in his career he established Clydesdale Bank’s first renewable energy team and its project finance product offering
