Northern Ireland’s leading renewable event Smart Energy returns with the theme
The final design of the Renewable Electricity Price Guarantee (REPG) has been published by the Department for the Economy. A key enabler to unlock renewable projects, leading to millions of pounds of private investment in Northern Ireland and delivering affordable electricity for NI consumers. Still waiting to progress through the Northern Ireland Assembly, with the first auction round is set for Q1 2027, this is critical.
At Smart Energy 2026 hear from Executive Ministers, policymakers and industry experts as we discuss the policy and infrastructure reforms needed to achieve the REPG potential. We discuss how to support the supply chain, including skills, to ensure the sector is ready to build the new projects. We debate how to build Northern Ireland’s offshore wind and ensuring delivery is ready for second auction.
