Mark leads RenewableNI, directing engagement on behalf of members with government, grid developers, regulators and industry to advance Northern Ireland’s transition to a secure, low-carbon energy system.
He joined in 2025 from Scottish Renewables, where he built a strong track record in energy policy and stakeholder engagement. He brings a clear understanding of how policy, infrastructure and investment must align, and the focus required to turn that alignment into delivery.
Since joining, Mark has positioned the Renewable Electricity Price Guarantee, timely grid delivery and planning reform at the centre of RenewableNI’s agenda. He is focused on ensuring the sector is clearly heard, fully understood and effectively represented in the decisions that matter for energy security, investment and decarbonisation.

Judith is responsible for media inquiries, RenewableNI’s website, social media platforms and all communications. Judith also manages events at RenewableNI including the Smart Energy Conference and the award nominated Renewable Energy series.
Judith created the Women in Renewables scheme that includes female only events and a fully funded mentoring programme and qualification.

Madeleine joined RenewableNI at the end of June this year.
She has worked as an EnergyPulse Researcher for 18 months with RenewableUK, where she specialised in tracking Northern Ireland onshore wind and energy storage projects. She will lead in offshore wind and planning policy, and will support the working groups.

Steph is Policy Manager for Northern Ireland and Ireland at FTSE UK-listed SSE plc, delivering strategic insight on the energy sector and policy landscape. In this role, she supports SSE’s onshore and offshore teams to engage effectively with government departments, regulators, policymakers and system operators in both markets. Previously, Steph worked at Energia Group as a Renewable Energy Policy Analyst, where she developed expertise in renewable integration, energy storage, and cross-border market alignment.
She also served as a U.S. diplomat, where she was responsible for economic policy and engagement work in Hong Kong and Macau and supported high-level U.S. delegations. She holds an MA in Diplomacy and International Political Economy.

Elected as Deputy Chair in March 2024, Sara continues for a second term reflecting her continued leadership and contribution to the industry.
A Chartered Town Planner, Sara is responsible for a team managing planning and environmental matters across Ireland, supporting the development of wind, solar, battery storage, hydrogen production, and emerging low-carbon technologies for a modern, integrated energy utility company operating across the island.
Prior to joining Energia Renewables, Sara worked in private consultancy and has extensive experience of the development industry, advancing schemes for a range of major clients including energy companies.
Sara has played an active role in shaping policy and industry collaboration, previously serving as the Chair of the RenewableNI Planning Working Group and sits on the Planning Committee for Wind Energy Ireland.

Tamasin is founder Managing Director of Omnipower Renewables, a renewable energy development and advisory company active across the UK and Ireland, specialising in identifying, acquiring and developing renewable energy sites. The company also works directly with energy users to increase their sustainability and reduce their costs.
Before founding Omnipower Renewables, Tamasin was UK Director for a leading international renewables developer, where she was responsible for establishing and delivering a 3 GW pipeline of onshore wind, solar, energy storage and hydrogen projects across the UK. A graduate of Queen’s University Belfast and Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh, she is a Chartered Planner with almost 20 years’ industry experience.
RenewableNI Strategic Council and Committee
The Strategic Council is the strategic and decision-making body for RenewableNI. It acts as the steering group for RenewableNI activity, oversees strategic priorities, and informs policy positions. The Council is also responsible for setting and reviewing governance policies and procedures.
Membership of the Strategic Council includes RenewableNI Gold members; Chair and Deputy Chair of the Committee; Wind Energy Ireland CEO; RenewableUK CEO and Distributed Generation Working Group Chair.
Membership of the Committee includes the current Chair of RenewableNI, Deputy Chair, representatives from member organisations and is facilitated by RenewableNI staff.
Meeting every two months, the Committee is responsible for the election of Chair and Deputy Chair; oversight of Working Groups and Committee subgroups and informing RenewableNI policy positions and consultation responses.
