Following the success of the Women in Renewables pilot mentoring qualification, applications are now open for the September 2025 intake of the OCN Level 2 Women in Renewables Mentoring course.

This programme will give you the skills and confidence needed to become a mentor.  This includes looking at your own values, recognising your own successes and the practical steps of creating a mentoring relationship.

Course participants will be required to mentor a woman from the renewable sector during the second half of the course.

The course includes a first in-person session allowing the group to get to know each other and hear from a motivational speaker.

The online lessons will be delivered by Belfast Met (see below) during which you will be able to complete some of your coursework.  Some time may be required outside the classes to complete workbooks and personal reflection.

As you can see from the dates below, there is a break in lessons to allow you to meet your mentee.

Belfast Met awarding Sara Tinsley her certificate

Sara Tinsley, Women in Renewables Mentoring graduate:

“RenewableNI has created the Women in Renewables Mentoring qualification to empower women to become these much-needed mentors.

“As a course participant, I have thoroughly enjoyed learning about the theory and partaking in the practical application of mentorship.  The course has been hugely beneficial, I’ve built new relationships within the industry, strengthened my mentoring skills and enjoyed deeper understanding of the benefits for both mentees and mentors.

“Our group collaboration has also been a highlight I’ll take away from the course.”

Do you want to receive free mentoring? You will be paired with a woman on the course and need to meet during the dates shown.
