Everun Are Proud Sponsors of Train 2B Smart Juniors
Demonstrating the power of renewables, Everun is sponsor a local footbal team.
Train 2B Smart Juniors (TTBS) is a local charity group based in Craigavon, specialising in youth football. The Train 2B Smart has teams of all ages, starting from U8s right through to U19s. The charity was established in 2013 by Pat McGibbon who has 7 Northern Ireland caps, briefly played for Manchester United in the early 90s and also later on played for Wigan FC.
Train 2B Smart was originally set up in 2013 by Mr McGibbon to promote the importance of mental health amongst young people. The charity’s aim is to help children and young people to gain resilience and life skills through sport.
Notably, TTBS’ strapline is “It’s Smart To Talk” which encourages the youth to open up about their mental health when they are struggling. This is something Everun feels strongly about as a people’s organisation which is why we are proud to sponsor Train 2B Smart Juniors. Everun currently features on the team’s gear which we are delighted to see.
Everun’s Finance Director, Gerry Mackle, is a coach of the U13 team and this is something he’s very passionate about outside of the work he does at Everun.
The U13 team are now playing the full 11-a-side format in the Mid Ulster Youth League. This comprises of a squad of 17 players and 3 coaches. TTBS wear their yellow and blue kit with pride but require new kit for the upcoming season. This is something Everun were happy to sponsor and we are excited to see the team play in their new gear and represent Everun.
Best of luck to Train 2B Smart Juniors in the upcoming season!
