In June, NI’s system operator SONI will open the doors for an exclusive event for RenewableNI members.
Aimed at strengthening collaboration between RenewableNI and SONI, this event explores how Northern Ireland’s electricity system operates and their role in delivering a secure, net zero grid.
Connecting with SONI – A RenewableNI Member Visit will begin with a networking business brunch. Delegates will then be split into six small groups for a tour of the SONI premises and the chance to speak to SONI staff.
The groups will then regather for a wider Q&A session with the senior leadership team.
This event is aimed at both those with a detailed knowledge of the grid system and infrastructure, but also those new to the topic. Delegates will be divided to ensure the wider breadth of understanding is tailored in the groups.
SONI said: “Building on the success of the 2024 industry breakfast, SONI is pleased to once again welcome RenewableNI members to our headquarters to engage directly with subject matter experts and hear updates on the issues and areas of work that matter most to you.”
