The second in the renewable electricity webinar series, sponsored by A&L Goodbody, focused on solar energy.

RenewableNI, the voice of Northen Ireland’s renewable electricity industry, hosted a free workshop on Exploring Solar PV on Thursday 10 March.

The session began with an introduction from Head of RenewableNI, Steven Agnew, touching on developements from the NI Energy Strategy.

Mark Stockdale, Partner, A&L Goodbody, explained their role in solar energy and provide advice for potential developers.  He also provided an overview of CfDs.

Guest speaker Paul Carson, Managing Director, Strategic Power Projects, and Chair of the RenewableNI PV working group, shared his expertise in solar.  He highlighted some of the current barriers in solar and the importance of pushing through these.

Paul’s colleague, Ryan McBirney, Planning Director, Strategic Power Projects provided some examples of solar success stories.

The webinar finished with questions from attendees.

Mark Stockdale is a corporate partner in A&L Goodbody’s Northern Ireland office, with particular expertise in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
