The conference addressed the unique position of Northern Ireland, with expert speakers discussing challenges and issues specific to the area.
The conference was opened by Northern Ireland’s Economy Minister, Gordon Lyons, who spoke about the Department’s new Energy Strategy publication.
The two panel discussions examined the role of community benefit in renewable projects and the future of renewables in NI, including hydrogen.
The role of NI’s renewable electricity industry can make to the region’s recovery as we emerge from Covid-19 restrictions was addressed with a preview of a new RenewableNI report.
